Day 1 – Arrival & Colombo City Tour
Travel Time: 1 Hour
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, our *Event PacificAsia representative* will welcome you and transfer you to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling commercial capital.
Begin your city exploration with:
- Fort & Pettah Market – commercial hub with historic charm
- Cinnamon Gardens & Colombo 3, 4, 5 & 8 – prime residential areas
- Hindu Temple at Sea Street, Dutch Church at Wolvendaal (1749), Devatagaha Mosque, Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and Colombo Museum*
Discover Sri Lanka’s famed Ceylon Tea, Cinnamon, Blue Sapphires, and gemstones along the way. Evening at leisure to explore Colombo’s vibrant nightlife.
Dinner & Overnight: Ramada Colombo
Day 2 – Colombo to Kitulgala
Travel Time:* 2–3 Hours
After breakfast, depart for Kitulgala, an adventure lover’s paradise.
Enjoy activities like white water rafting, jungle trekking, bird watching, mountain cycling, and river bathing.
* Afternoon guided forest trek and birdwatching in Kitulgala Forest Reserve to spot endemic species such as the Green-bill Coucal, Chestnut-backed Owlet, and Sri Lanka Jungle Fowl. Explore local wildlife including Purple-faced Leaf Monkeys and endemic reptiles along the Kelani River.
Lunch & Dinner: Palmstone Retreat
Overnight:Kitulgala
Day 3 – Kitulgala Adventure & Rafting
- Morning white water rafting session, suitable for all fitness levels. Personal Flotation Devices provided for safety.
- Afternoon cycling tour through scenic trails.
- Evening BBQ Hunter’s Theme Night at the resort.
Overnight: Palmstone Retreat
Day 4 – Kitulgala to Haputale via Nuwara Eliya
Travel Time: 3–4 Hours
Breakfast at the hotel, then depart to Haputale (elevation 1,431 m).
En route sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya, including:
- Old Post Office and Hill Club
- Gregory Lake, Strawberry Farm, Victoria Park
- 18-hole Golf Course & Race Course
- Tea Factory & Plantation Tour
Haputale is surrounded by lush cloud forests and tea estates, offering stunning views across the southern plains of Sri Lanka.
Dinner & Overnight: Melheim Resort, Beragal
Day 5 – Horton Plains Trek & Yala
Travel Time: 2–3 Hours
- Early morning trek in Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Discover 57 endemic plant species, 87 birds, and 24 mammal species amid breathtaking scenery.
- En route to Yala, visit Diyaluma Falls (220 m), Sri Lanka’s second-highest waterfall.
- Check in to your Yala accommodation for dinner and relaxation.
Overnight: Cinnamon Wild Yala
Day 6 – Yala Safari & Udawalawa
Travel Time: 1–2 Hours
- Early morning jeep safari in Yala National Park to spot sloth bears, leopards, elephants, and diverse bird species
- Continue to Udawalawa after breakfast.
- Visit Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, rehabilitating orphaned calves for release into the wild.
- Evening campfire & camping experience at the lodge.
Dinner & Overnight: Big Game Camp, Udawalaw
Day 7 – Udawalawa to Mirissa
Travel Time: 2–3 Hours
- Morning jeep safari in Udawalawa National Park* for elephant and bird watching.
- Depart for Mirissa, stopping to see Weligama’s stilt fishermen.
- Arrive in Mirissa, a serene coastal paradise with golden sands and vibrant local dining options.
Dinner & Overnight: Mandara Resort, Mirissa

Day 8 – Mirissa Whale Watching & Bentota
Travel Time: 2–3 Hours
Early morning whale watching excursion (seasonal) to spot blue whales, Bryde’s whales, sperm whales, and pods of dolphins*.
Breakfast onboard, then depart for Bentota.
En route, visit *Galle Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site),National Maritime Museum, St. Mary’s Cathedral, and Shiva Temple.
Stop at a *turtle hatchery* before checking in to your beach resort.
Dinner & Overnight: Centara Ceysands, Bentot
Day 9 – Bentota Beach & Madu River Safari
Morning at leisure for beach activities or optional watersports:
Banana Boat – USD 15 pp
Tube Ride – USD 15 pp
Canoeing – USD 35 pp
Afternoon Madu River Mangrove Safari, visiting uninhabited islands and a cinnamon plantation.
Evening Fishermen’s Theme Dinner on the beach.
Overnight: Centara Ceysands
Day 10 Departure from Bentota
*Travel Time: 2–3 Hours
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
